How to Create Your Own AI Character ​

Creating your own character on AICHIKI is easy—and built to give you maximum flexibility, especially for roleplay.

Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Tap +Character ​

On the front page of the app, tap the +Character button to start creating a new AI character.

Step 2: Fill Out the Character Basics ​

Name: Choose a name for your character.

Description: Write a short intro or summary. Many users write it as if the character is introducing themselves.

This will appear publicly on the character's profile page.

Step 3: Add a Picture ​

You have two options:

  • Upload a photo
  • Generate one using AI

TIP

If you want to generate a picture, it's best to do this after filling out the character's details. The AI will use this information to auto-generate an image prompt.

When generating:

  • A new page will open with a prompt (which you can edit).
  • You can generate multiple images if you don't like the first one.
  • Once you're happy, click Accept to save the image.

You can also choose a visual style from the dropdown:

  • Anime
  • Realistic
  • 3D
  • Chibi
  • Fantasy
  • Photo

Step 4: Write the Character's Bio ​

This is where you add more detail, such as:

  • Name
  • Age
  • Occupation
  • Personality
  • Background
  • Any other information you want the AI to know

Step 5: Add an Opening Message ​

You can choose between two types of first messages:

Opening Scene (for roleplay) This will be the character's first message when users chat with them. Use it to set the mood or start a scenario.

Example: "You find me sitting at the edge of a crumbling rooftop, the city lights flickering below…"

Greeting (non-roleplay) If the character isn't meant for roleplay, you can simply write a greeting instead.

Example: "Hi there! I'm Luna, your cheerful assistant."

You can choose one or the other, or leave both empty (the app will generate a basic greeting if nothing is provided).

Step 6: Validate Your Character ​

Once you're done:

  1. Tap Validate (top-right corner of the screen).

  2. AICHIKI will review the character automatically using AI moderation.

If the character violates rules (e.g., explicit or inappropriate content), you'll be asked to adjust it.

If everything is good, a Save button will appear.

Step 7: Save and Publish (Optional) ​

Tap Save to create your character.

Once saved, go to their profile page.

If you want others to see and interact with your character, set them to Public using the toggle.
