"Character is Private" Error for Your Own Character

If you're seeing a "character is private" error when trying to chat with a character you created yourself, this is a known bug that can happens sometimes.

Quick Fix: Reset Local Data

This issue is usually resolved by clearing your local app data:

1. Go to Settings in AICHIKI
2. Look for "Reset Local Data" button
3. Tap to clear local storage
4. Try accessing your character again

If Reset Doesn't Work

If resetting local data doesn't resolve the issue:

1. Make sure you're logged into the same account that created the character
2. Check that the character still exists in your "My Characters" list
3. Contact our support team - this is a bug that needs to be fixed

When contacting support, please mention:

• That you tried resetting local data
• The character name (if you're comfortable sharing)
• Whether the character appears in your "My Characters" list

Why This Happens

This is a synchronization bug between your local app data and the server. Your account has proper access to the character, but the local app data gets confused about permissions.
