🔹 Why Identities Matter When Chatting ​

You cannot chat with a character unless you've selected an identity. In AICHIKI, your identity isn't just a name—it's the persona you're stepping into, and it plays a crucial role in how characters interact with you.

🧠 How It Works ​

Before each chat, the character reads your identity's bio, which may include:

  • Your identity's name and age
  • Gender
  • Personality traits
  • Backstory or setting
  • Any other details you've shared in the "About Me" section

This helps the character respond to you in a way that fits your chosen role—whether you're a powerful mage, a shy college student, or a time-traveling detective.

🎭 But They Still "Play Along" ​

Even though the character reads your identity's bio, they'll act as if they don't know you—unless the roleplay plot makes it clear that they should.

Example: If your bio says your identity is a 25-year-old woman, the character will recognize and respond accordingly—but will only mention those details in chat if it fits the scene.

This makes your interactions feel more immersive and natural, while still allowing you to control the story and the relationship.

🔹 What Is My Profile and Who Can See It? ​

Your profile is your personal space within the app—it contains your created characters, your public info, and your account settings. There are two versions of your profile:

🧍‍♀️ 1. The Public Profile ​

Other users can see your public profile only if you've created at least one public character.

When someone visits a public character's page, they'll see the creator's name and a link to their profile.

If they click the link, they'll be taken to your public profile, which includes:

  • Your profile picture
  • Your display name
  • Your bio (if you wrote one)
  • A list of all your public characters

If you don't have any public characters, your profile won't be visible to other users.

🔐 2. The Private Profile (Profile Settings) ​

This version is only visible to you. It's where you manage everything about your account.

In Profile Settings, you can:

  • Upload or generate a profile picture
  • Write or update your bio (shown on your public profile)
  • View and manage your identities (these are private—no one else can see them)
  • See your email address
  • Access the following tools:
    • Contact Us
    • Restore Purchases
    • Reset Password
    • Export Data
    • Delete Account

You can also edit your profile info (name, picture, and bio) here at any time.

🔹 How Can I Edit My Profile Information? ​

You can easily update your profile details at any time through the Profile Settings.

✏️ To Edit Your Profile: ​

  1. Open the side bar (swipe from the left or tap the menu icon)

  2. Tap on "Settings" to access your Profile Settings

  3. From here, you can:

    • Change your display name
    • Upload or generate a new profile picture
    • Edit your bio (this appears on your public profile if you have public characters)

Any changes you make are saved immediately and will update what others see only if your characters are public.

Note: If you haven't created any public characters, your profile is private by default—so these edits are for your eyes only.

📌 Tip: Your profile name, bio, and picture appear on your public profile when someone views a character you've made public. Make sure your info reflects how you want to be seen!
