Can't Upload or Save a Picture

Why won't my picture upload?

A few things can stop an upload from going through:

  1. The picture was flagged. Uploads are checked by our moderation system. If a picture is found to be inappropriate, it will not be accepted. Choose a different picture that follows our content rules.
  2. The file is too large. The upload ceiling is 10 MB. If your picture is larger than that, resize or compress it and try again.
  3. The format isn't supported. Most common image formats work, including JPG, PNG, and WEBP. JPG and PNG are the most reliable, so if a picture refuses to upload, converting it to one of those usually fixes it.
  4. Your connection dropped. A weak or interrupted connection can stop an upload partway. Check your connection and try again.

Why can't I save a picture to my device?

When you save a picture, AICHIKI hands the file to your phone's own share menu, and your phone takes over from there. If the save will not complete, the issue is usually on the device side rather than in the app.

On Android, if saving from the share menu does not work, we recommend installing the Files by Google app from the Play Store. Once it is installed, the save option in the share menu works reliably.

Why was my picture flagged?

Pictures that go against our content rules are flagged automatically and cannot be uploaded. This keeps the platform safe for everyone. If your picture follows the rules and you still believe it was flagged by mistake, contact support and we will take a look.
