How to Start a Chat ​

Starting a conversation with a character is easy! Here's how it works:

From the Character List ​

  1. Simply click on a character from the main list. This will open the character's profile page.

  2. Tap "Start Chat": On the profile, you'll see a "Start Chat" button. Tapping it will begin a new conversation with that character.

  3. In the pop-up that appears, select a language and an identity (persona) for the chat.

  4. Click 'Start' to begin the conversation.

Already Chatted with This Character? ​

If you've chatted with the character before, you'll see a few additional options on their profile:

  • Start Chat: Begin a brand new chat thread with the character (your previous chats will still be saved separately).

  • Continue: Jump back into your most recent conversation with the character.

  • History: View a list of all your previous chats with this character, including the date you last messaged in each one.

    Note

    This button only appears if you have at least one saved chat with that character.

  • Edit Character: Only visible if you created the character yourself. Use this to update their info (some fields may be locked after publishing).

Recent Chats ​

On the homepage, you'll also see a "Recent Chats" section. If you've recently spoken to a character, their small profile image will appear here.

Clicking on that image takes you straight back to your most recent conversation with them—no need to search!

TIP

If only one chat exists, the "History" button may not appear yet.

WARNING

⚠️ Email Verification Required

You won’t be able to start a chat until your email address is verified.

For most users signing in with Google or Apple, this happens automatically. If you signed up with a different email, you’ll need to verify it manually.

🔹 How to verify your email

  • During onboarding, tap Verify Email
  • Check your inbox and open the email
  • Tap the verification link
  • Return to the app and continue

🔹 Skipped verification?

You can verify your email anytime:

  • Go to Settings
  • Scroll to the bottom
  • Tap Resend Verification Email

🔹 Not receiving the email?

  • Check your Spam/Junk folder
  • Make sure your inbox isn’t full
  • Request the email again from Settings
