🔹 How to Create or Switch Identities
In AICHIKI, your identity is the avatar you use while chatting or roleplaying. You can create as many identities as you like, each with their own name, picture, and personality.
🆕 Creating Your First Identity
If you're new to the app and try to chat with a character before creating an identity, the app will guide you automatically.
You'll see a message: "You don't have any identities yet."
Tap the button: "Create your first identity"
This will take you to the identity creation page
🧑🎨 How to Create a New Identity Manually
If you already have identities and want to create another:
Slide open the side bar on the left
Tap "Settings" to open your profile settings
In the Identities section, tap "+ Add" in the top-right corner
You'll be taken to the identity creation page
Here, you can:
- Upload a picture or
- Generate one using the AI image tool
If you choose to generate:
- A prompt box will appear—type in what your identity should look like
- Choose a visual style (e.g., Anime, Realistic, Chibi, Fantasy, etc.)
- Browse the generated options, then tap "Accept" on the one you like
Then:
- Enter a name for your identity
- Write a short description in the "About Me" section
- Tap "Save" to finish
🔁 Can I Switch Identities During a Chat?
No—once a chat has started, you cannot switch identities mid-conversation.
🚀 New Chat Selection Process
When you start a new chat with any character, a popup will appear asking you to select:
- Identity: Which persona you want to use for this chat
- Language: Which language you want to chat in
Smart Behavior:
- If you've set a default identity in Settings, it will be pre-selected
- If you've set a preferred language in Settings, it will be pre-selected
- If you've set both defaults, no popup appears—the chat starts immediately
This replaces the old system where only identity selection was available.
⭐ Setting or Clearing a Default Identity
If you want the app to stop asking you every time, you can set a default identity:
Go to Settings
In your identity list, tap "Set as Default" next to the one you want
To clear it:
Tap "Clear Default" at the top of your identity list
The app will go back to asking you each time you start a new chat
