Making Your Character Public vs Private
When you create a character in AICHIKI, you choose whether it's public or private. This setting controls who can see and interact with your character.
Public Characters
- Visible to all users in the character list and search
 - Anyone can view the profile and start a chat
 - Ideal for:
- Roleplay characters you want others to use
 - Helpers, companions, or fan-made characters you want to share

Once someone chats with your character, that interaction is saved in their history—even if you later set the character to private
Private Characters
- Only visible to you (the creator)
 - Won't appear in searches or public lists
 - Perfect for:
- Personal roleplay scenarios
 - Testing characters before sharing
 - Storylines you don't want others to access

How to Switch Between Public and Private
Go to the character's profile page
Use the toggle in the top-right corner to switch visibility
- If it turns purple, the character is now public
 - If it's gray, the character is private

You'll also see a label next to the toggle showing the current status
Reminder About Public Characters
When making a character public, you'll see a notice explaining:
- Public characters that gain interactions can't be instantly deleted
 - If others begin using your character, it may remain on the platform (in private state) to preserve existing conversations
